Is my poem okay?

Hello, i am actually a gr.7 12 year old boy. I just wondering, is my poem okay? My class had to write a poem explaining how another poet was right. The another poet wrote a poem called "Forecast." and it is about how our generaration is lazy and we don't get out to see the natures beauty. So what i had to write, was a poem on how he is right on how the outside is a great place to be, but i also included on how our genaration is not that lazy. So please read it and give me some feed back. ty BY THE WAY I DID NOT CHECK GRAMMAR IN THIS POEM

Here is my poem:

Nature has a unique beauty
That changes from time to time
You can’t just vision it
You must feel it from your heart
To understand the true meaning and form of art

This world has many seasons
That twist and turn like gears
They improve the outside beauty
Because that’s its duty
By bringing the cold, the hot, and the excitement

Today is the day
I spring out of my dark humid cave
To venture the fascinating seasons that face me
In front of me lays a strong wooden boarded fence
Once I pass it, my wonder world will begin
But before I go I must tell you
Our generation is not lazy
We do go outside, experiencing the beauty of nature
It’s just some of us that have different atmospheres
Sure, we have things that grab onto us and make us stay inside
But some of us, not all of us
Experience what’s beyond that wooden boarded fence

Now I go and grasp a handle that turns open the fence
I see and wonder what the forecast will be
Just about as the barricaded wall opens up
I clench my eyes from fear
Then suddenly a patch of warm wind
Sweeps up from the north and tickles me with sensation

This is Summer I now see
The sizzling alluring sun warms my hand like a barbeque
I hear nature buzz as little yellow creatures soar beneath my eyes
This hot dry region is the best season to make me wonder
Why stay in a lonely dark cave
When we can race across cold waters that shoot from the ground
See alien bug creatures that lure our backyard
Tan our skins with a fluorescent metal cover
Or swing to the top of the playground and over the hill
This season is got to be the most fun of the “funnest”
What more could I do, catch a ball, lay on the beach, swim in the liberty seas
I do so many things, I play sports just
We are not lazy; we go outside on a hot humid day
And copy the famous summer Olympic athletes.
But what about winter

As I take a step down my porch, a few months have past.
I don’t notice small little glaciers falling from the heavens
I see bold, rich, fluorescent, and antique colors that fill the backyard
I see tons of symbols from the Canada flag slowly fall and glide onto a pile
Branches slowly start to shake and plants decaying
Shadows start to grow and life starts to sway
Animals now sleeping
Not a sound or a peep
Everyone knows fall has begun.
Even though it’s quiet we need to still get out
We can fall in the leaves, still swing in the playground.
We can still swim in the liberty seas
Not all things have to happen in the summer

Next seasons follow through winter
Cold winds swipe down my back to send me a chilling ache
Don’t be fear of the cold, fun can still happen
Even athletes are enjoying the winter wonder land
Go ahead make me a bald headed figure that is bodied with 3 round balls.
Rub against the soft marshmallow snow creating what appears to be an angel
Stir the chocolate to make a warm delicious coco-delight.
Bobsleigh down icy driveways and crash into piles of white soft blankets
But the best experience is getting your bright red tongue stuck onto a pole or icicle
Once again, this generation is not always lazy
Some of us copy what we see on CTV Olympics

Nature isn’t over yet, there is still yet one more season
This one is the time of year blossoms bloom,
This is the year dark purple and bright red explode into the atmosphere
You see farmers picking them off the greenish trees.
Every season there is a unique thing to do
That let’s us get active to take a break from screen time.
Why think our generation is lazy
Our generation is just growing with technology
We are not just hiding in our dark caves
Take back from what you said
Cause here I go, outside to play

Answer :
It's long! That's for sure. It didn't lure me on past the first few lines, so I skipped to the last verse, and it didn't get any better, so I stopped reading again. Sorry! But you are only 12, and the fact that you are writing poetry is great. You should get better and better. Keep on keeping on.

Answer :
A writers age DOESN'T MATTER IS THE CONTENT OF HIS PLAY THAT MUST MATTER.
Your really great at writing. Remember that theres people in this world that wont like your poem. For me it was amazing! I loved how you put it together.
KEEP GOING NO MATTER WHAT.

What should I bring on the Liberty Of The Seas and also the plane ride to Miami?

In about two months my family and I going on the Liberty Of The Seas this is our first time going on Royal Caribbean and I really excited. I have already found a digital camera that takes both photos and film clips but what else so I bring with me? I won't be getting my passport until next week but I like to take my time with shopping and getting my hair done for the trip. I know that crazy because the trip is two months away be I like to ready but I don't what else to bring with on the trip and the plane ride to Miami. What I should do on the plane ride to Miami? I am flying Delta airlines(New Delta) and they are putting AVOD in all the planes including the plane I will be on the Airbus a320. My flight going there is about two pushing three hours but my flight is three hours. I will be not taking my laptop but will posting pictures and videos on youtube and facebook will get back. What I should bring with me?

Answer :
I have been on about 20 cruises, many with Royal Caribbean, ( cruised on the Liberty last Nov) and here's what I suggest based on my experiences:

Always pack your passport and cruise documents in your carry on bag ONLY.

The dress on ship is casual all day until 6:00PM, so take:
-swim wear (at least 2),
-shorts, tank tops and "T's"
-sandals,
-beach shoes,
-your snorkel equipment if you have it,
-sun glasses and sun screen,
-lotions,
-a cap or big hat for the sun,
-a book if you are a reader,
-your music player,
-sneakers and clothes to workout in if you like to use the gym,
-good walking shoes,
-your camera, and
-other personal toiletries including tooth paste, mouth wash or lotions.

Your cabin will have towels and soap provided, including pool and beach towels, and a hair dryer. It will also have a generic hair shampoo so you do not need to bring that unless you like a specific brand.

After 6:00 PM they request that you wear "sports or resort casual" attire. That's attire that you would expect a person to wear in a business office, (like a bank employee), shirt with a collar, slacks, skirt, blouse, etc. You can still wear shorts and swim wear in the pools and spas but not in public areas like dining rooms and restaurants, show rooms, bars, casino, etc. Don't over pack , take clothes that you can mix and match tops and bottoms and plan to wear each piece twice. If you are going to the Caribbean you will likely be in shorts and/or swim wear most of every day so evening clothes don't usually get much wear.

Your cruise will have a formal night or two when you can wear your best stuff and get pictures taken, and maybe meet the ship’s Captain. The formal nights are REQUESTED not required attire. You will not be denied entry to the main dining room if you decide not to dress up, as long as you are at least sports casual. But most people do dress up. A gown or party dress for women and a suit or tux for men. Some people dress up both formal nights, some don't. We always take the formal stuff off after dinner and a photo or two and go back to casual stuff.

- Its best to pack using soft-sided luggage because with space limited in your cabin it fits under the beds better if its not hard sided luggage. Pack using the vacuum clothing bags (about $20 for 3 at Target) so that you can get more in your bag AND so that if the TSA at the airport opens your bag they can see what's inside without rummaging through your things. Take a small carry-on bag for the last night of the cruise. On the last evening you will be required to put your luggage outside your cabin by about 2:00 AM so that they can start taking it down to the lower deck for offloading the next morning. So you will need a small bag for your toiletries and your clothes that you sleep in.

- If you are taking your cell phone, MP3 player or other item that needs to be plugged in take an extension cord as the plugs in the cabin are generally not in the best places and there are usually only one or two.

- Take a small bottle of hand sanitizer and/or hand-wipes. There are generally sanitizer dispensers at the entrances of restaurants, the buffets and dining room, but some times the are not there or not working. The sanitizer helps prevent the spread of the Norwalk Virus that sometimes occur on cruise ships.

-If you plan to get into the pools or hot tub as soon as you get on ship (they will be open), bring those clothes in your carry on bag; you other luggage may not get to your cabin until much later in the afternoon.

- Take a can of air freshener for your cabin bathroom. The bathrooms do not have exhaust fans.

- Take a few zip lock bags of various sizes; they always come in handy.

- Take some one dollar bills (also maybe a few $5's) for tipping the porters in the airport, at the pier (they do not work for the ship), and they will come in handy in port stops for buying small items in the markets and at vendor stands; especially bartering places.

Take your music player so you can listen while on the plane.

I'm going on a cruise in a week, I'll be traveling on the Norwegian Cruise Line, and I am also going to the Caribbean. I am soo excited.
I'm only bringing one pair of jeans with me because it's going to be hot there.
I'm taking like five bathing suits
and like four dresses because you can't wear shorts or jeans in the dining room after six at night.
Of course i'm taking my camera, cell phone, and all that stuff.
Take a pair of sneakers and flipflops and maybe bring a couple sweaters because it's might be windy at night.

on the plane, i am bringing a purse as a carry-on.
in it, i'm bringing my ipods, i have two in case on dies, gum, and some other candy or something, my camera , cellphone etc. i am probably going to bring a couple magazines, and a wordsearch book or a puzzle book or something. also, im going to put a pair of shorts in my purse as well because when i leave home, i will be wearing pants because its cold, and when i get there, it will be hot so ill change into shorts . hope this helped.

Answer :
lucky you !

i would take:
*passport
*tickets
*money
*lots of sun cream
*after sun incase you get burnt (hopefully you wont need it)
*sunglasses
*underwear
*2 swimsuits (whilst you wear one the other can be drying)
*a towel (unless they provide them)
*i would take about 5 complete outfits including a formalish dress that you can wear in the evenings because cruises usually have a formal evening type thing and if you have room *something fancy dress just in case- again cruises often have fancy dress.
*the main items of clothing would be denium shorts/skirt and light loose shirts or tank tops.
*cardigans and jumpers because it is likely to be cooler in the evenings.
*shoes, flip flops :)

Is the arcade on liberty of the seas for kids only or can adults play as well?

I love video games but I am in my twenties. Is arcade only for kids or can young adults can in their to. How much should enter in the arcade kiosks?

Answer :
I was just on the Liberty in November 09 and yes adults can play the video games. They use a system where you purchase a card to play the video games from a machine. Its self service right in the game room. Its like a power card at Dave and Buster where you put $10.00 on the card and play until you use up all of the money. Most games are between $.75 and $1.50 to play, depending on the game.

ADDED NOTE: You actually use your cruise card to activate each game, but after you go to a machine to authorize a dollar amount to be charged to your cruise card.
